The University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, México works together with the World Cultural Council to honour Dr. Monkombu S. Swaminathan as the winner of the “Albert Einstein”World Award of Science. He received the award for his contributions to plant genetics and his influence on international agricultural development. By many he is regarded as the co-author of the Green Revolution in Asia together with Dr. Norman Borlaug Founder Member of the World Cultural Council.
