Dr. Luc Henrard
University of Namur

Luc Henrard was born in Seattle, USA, and has Belgian and American nationality. After brilliant studies in physical sciences at the University of Notre-Dame de la Paix, he gained a doctorate in 1996 and later completed post-doctoral studies. In 2009, he became a Master of Research at the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research. In 2008 he was appointed President of the Belgian Physics Society, after being its Vice-President.

Henrard’s work focuses on the digital simulation of the optical, electronic and structural properties of condensed materials, nanophysics and the physics of carbon matter.

Luc is the author of over 70 articles in national and international science journals and has also participated as a speaker in numerous international science conferences.
