Karel Logist

Karel Logist is first and foremost a poet, as attested by his dozen or so poetry collections published from 1989 to 2008. He has received eleven poetry awards, some from institutions of great distinction (the Royal Belgian Academy of French Language and Literature, the Parliament of the French-speaking Community of Belgium, and the Académie Française).

Karel is also actively involved in promoting literary endeavours. He regularly organizes and hosts literary gatherings and poetry writing workshops. He is also an editor, literary critic and cultural journalist.

In 1998, Logist was one of the founders of Le Fram, which publishes both prose and poetry, and is particularly open to young poets and writers. He is also co-founder of the heritage collection “Ha”.

Logist performs all these activities with clear values: sound judgement, an open mind, tenacity, modesty and respect for differences.
