Until here the letter. From my side, on this day that I pass on the Presidential Emblem to Prof. Edmond Fischer, I would like to say that there is a work that continues for me at The Global Foundation.

Organization that was created in 2001, at the beginning of this millennium, with the host of Utrecht University; eight Chancellors, two of them are here today, Prof. Cornelis de Jager and Dr. Ashok Karande and myself.

We will continue with this endeavor promoting the World Cultural Council´s activities, I would like to express my gratitude to the Members of this Council, for the work undertaked during all these years, and many thanks to all of you for listening these words, that might be words of hope and that you will be able to live them in your hearts.
