The 36th WCC Award Ceremony was hosted by the University of Tsukuba in conjunction with the Tsukuba Conference in Tsukuba Science City, Japan.<\/p>

Prof. Zhong Lin Wang<\/b>, Chair and Regents Professor, School of Materials Science & Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, received the 2019 Albert Einstein World Award of Science<\/b> and Portuguese independent film producer, Paulo Branco<\/b> received the 2019 Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts<\/b> from Dr. NAGATA Kyosuke<\/b>, President of the University of Tsukuba, Prof. Sir Colin Blakemore<\/b>, President, World Cultural Council and Esteban M. Wild<\/b>, Executive Director World Cultural Council.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cI am extremely honored and privilege to receive the 2019 Albert Einstein World Award of Science, which is the most prestigious honor I have received. Thanks to the WCC for giving me this special honor\u201d. \u201cThanks to my parents, thanks to my family, thanks my students, postdoc and team, and also thanks to our university and the funding agency support. I will continue to work for the next many years to come and make the nanogenerator to serve the sustainable development of human kind. I will look forward to that nanogenerator will have a broad impact to the energy in the new era \u2013 the era of internet of things, artificial intelligence, and big data.<\/i><\/p>

\u201cToday we are going to honor two outstanding individuals. Dr Zhong Lin Wang from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA and Mr Paulo Branco, a film producer from Portugal. These two individuals who are selected for their excellence in their respective fields, as well as their contributing to the well-being of humanity, and their inspiration of future generations.<\/i><\/p>

\u201cWe are also obliged to recognize ten highly promising young Japanese researchers, who have achieved outstanding performance in the field of science.
